Welcome back! We have a new colour duo starting today at the Color Hues for Color Challenge #85!
My plan for today's card was to have yellow on the top and pink on the bottom with them blended together in the middle. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo. It made a lovely peach shade where they blended over one another in the middle. Then I laid a stencil over the ink blending once dry and sprayed Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Spray. The nozzle did not spray smoothly and the first panel as set aside.
I ink blended another panel and did the same thing but this time I cleared the nozzle before spraying on my panel. and it turned out...BUT...although I haven't done it in along time, I glued the better panel upside-down on the card base!
The decision was made to make two cards!
The 'good' panel was now upside-down with pink on the top and yellow on the bottom. I used an older stencil by Birch Press Designs called Ring Tiles. There are other companies who have a similar stencils but really you can use just about anything. Graphic designs would likely work the best!
The sentiment in the centre is Waffle Flower Crafts Oversized Thank You Print. I cut it out three times in black and glued them together for a chunky sentiment!
Hi there friends, it's been a while. I got up this morning and decided it was time to make a card for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #28. I purchased the Concord & 9th Cup of Kindness Stamps & dies back when the set was introduced and today it finally got some love. I have been trying to use what I have because their are so many sets that I had to have but have not gotten much love.
My background was stamped with Ellen Hutson's Fa La La stamp with Catherine Pooler's Rockin' Red ink. The same stamp was used to stamp and white emboss the red cardstock for the coffee cup.
The holly on the cup sleeve is from Ellen Hutson's Holiday Sprigs stamps & dies. I coloured it with Copic markers--R08, R17, R27, YG25, YG17.
This is also the first card I have made for Christmas '24! I have a few more to make--lol!
Welcome back! We have a new colour duo starting today over at the Color Hues for Color Challenge #84! Peach & Green makes me think of warmer days ahead! I used Altenew's Book Engravings stamps and dies.
I stamped and die cut the two flowers using peach inks. On a 5 1/5" x 4 1/4" panel of white cardstock I stamped the leaves. The smaller flower was attached to the panel directly with glue and the large flower was attached with foam squares. The happy birthday sentiment is from an old Papertrey Ink birthday set.
I am also submitting this to Seize the Birthday #280 Spring Floral Challenge...
Welcome back! We have a new colour duo starting today at the Color Hues for Color Challenge #83! This week we have a unique colour combination chosen by teammate Carol. I love this subdued pallet of cream and blue! I decided to make a birthday card that is masculine and yet it ended up very generic!
Hey crafty friends! I'm back again with m second card for my March Guest Design at Just Us Girls! This challenge with are having a Collaboration Challenge with Time Out Challenges for challenge #718.
We are doing a two week challenge running from March 14th - 27th. At JUGS it's a word challenge and the word is Birds! I don't have many birds in my collection but I have MFT Stamps Seaside Seagulls and pulled it out to play!
I created a cloud background with the MFT Stamps Clouds stencil, then I cut it into a panel with the MFT Stamps Wonky Stitched borders.
I used a bright blue cardstock for my background and I have gone through all my cardstock and still do not know what company makes it.
I added some foam tape/dots to add some dimension behind the white panel and behind the bird and die cut clouds!
